New Years has always been an event that instigates strong feelings of reflection and introspection. It's also a time that most of us find ourselves deliberating what we want to achieve throughout the year. We try to mould our dreams in the hope they come to fruition. For me the ‘new’ is exciting, the possibilities and potential are limitless.
They're limitless because we have the power to create what we will, we just have to believe it's possible with conviction. Be it a business, a happier outlook on life, or a trip off the beaten track - it’s up to you. Having an intent, vision or beyond this, a purpose, gives us direction to streamline our time and thoughts into actions. It is, however, easier said than done!
Helen Keller was asked in an interview, "it must be hard being blind.” She replied, “it would be, if I had no Vision, because we really see with our hearts." Keller achieved unprecedented accomplishments, which made her a symbol of the triumph of the human spirit.
Your heart is your best tool to access your true purpose and passion. By asking yourself what you love - you can start taking steps to making it a reality. When you are inspired and connected, it shines through. You can't fake authenticity. By embracing the things you love to do, and taking action, you will continue finding inspiration and gain the insights required into what brings you the most happiness.
Start getting in touch with your passions. When you lead a passionate life, you are living your life on purpose.
2 Pairs Project originally started as an idea to work with passionate people. I believe when people are passionate and work collectively, they can accomplish great things. I am fortunate, because everyday I have the privilege of being around so many passionate people. Like most things in life, the path changes and that’s what happened when I travelled to Nepal prior to the earthquake.
I continue exploring and learning, while I’m not exactly on the ‘right’ path (if there's such a thing), I am following my passions nonetheless, and that brings more smiles to my face.
2 Pairs Project is more than the jewellery, it’s about the meaning and purpose behind the pieces that are purchased. And it’s these pieces of jewellery that you wear that serve as a reminder to be grateful for what you have knowing that you have contributed to the betterment of others.
You are a part of our purpose, you have contributed and are still contributing to create a brighter future for children and communities in Nepal. You are the driving force and catalyst to the reduction of cyclical poverty.
Wear your jewellery, share our purpose, and your own.
If you haven’t found your purpose, start by following your passions and most importantly put them into action.
